Grand jury hands down 55 indictments

A Lamar County grand jury has returned 55 indictments against 54 people, most for crimes that could be related to a weak economy.

Twenty three of the indictments involved theft, burglary, forgery, fraud or debit card or credit card abuse.

Thirteen others were indicted on drug offenses.

The indictments were handed down Thursday.

Those indicted included:

• Ralph Adams, burglary of a habitation;

• Damontre Lamarr Anthony, possession of marijuana, more than four ounces but less than five pounds in a drug free zone;

• James Clayton Ausmus, burglary of a building, repeat offender;

• Albert Ramon Baker, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon;

• Eric Latham Basinger, evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle;

• Roderick Don Biggers, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, PG 3, more than 28 grams in a drug free zone;

• Jonathan Dias Blackwell, possession of marijuana, more than four ounces but less than five pounds; and felon in possession of a firearm;

• Jason Dale Burnett, burglary of a habitation;

• Raygene Butler, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, five items;

• Chelsey Nicole Cole, debit card abuse;

• Bobby Jack Cook, criminal mischief, $1,500 to $20,000; criminal mischief $20,000 to $100,000;

• Chase Nathan Davidson, possession of a controlled substance, PG 1, less than one gram in a drug free zone; possession of a controlled substance, PG 3, less than 28 grams in a drug free zone;

• Kendrick Davis, possession of marijuana, more than four ounces but less than five pounds in a drug free zone; tampering with physical evidence;

• Tiffany Davis, possession of marijuana, more than four ounces but less than five pounds in a drug free zone;

• Edwin Ray Doty, driving while intoxicated, third or more, habitual offender;

• Juelin Devon Eddington, aggravated assult with a deadly weapon, two counts;

• Gary Darrell Edmiston, forgery of a financial instrument, two counts;

• Norma Jennette Evins, theft, less than $1,500 with two priors;

• Adrien Allen Foster, burglary of a building;

• Marshall Allen Fox, burglary of a building;

• Chisery Lee Franklin, possession of a controlled substance, PG 1:

• Brandon Wade Hicks, burglary of a habitation;

• Billy Don Hill, sex offender’s duty to register for life/annually;

• Robert Edward Holt, criminal nonsupport;

• Johnny Ray Huie, injury to a child;

• Antwan Lakeith Jones, forgery of a financial instrument, eight counts;

• April Keele, aggravated perjury, two counts;

• Cody Kelley, criminal mischief, $1,500 to $20,000; criminal mischief, $20,000 to $100,000;

• Tyrone Paul Kennedy Jr., burglary of a building;

• Leonard Leslie Lake, forgery of a financial instrument, two counts;

• Donovan Lamont Lewis, aggravated assault on a public servant; evading arrest with a vehicle; felon in possession of a firearm;

• Brian Douglas Lowe, possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram;

• Jacky Carl McCann, forgery of a financial instrument;

• Blayne Chase McDowell, burglary of a habitation;

• Rickey Lynn McGee Jr., criminal mischief, $1,500 to $20,000;

• Heather Leann McHenry, forgery of a financial instrument;

• Brannin Don Miller, assault with prior, two counts

• James Edward Mims, theft, less than $1,500 with two priors;

• Frederick Deon Mitchell, possession of marijuana, more than four ounces but less than five pounds;

• Lebrodrick Kevon Norman, burglary of a building;

• Randy Ray Offutt Jr., forgery of a financial instrument, two counts;

• Shannon Offutt, forgery of a financial instrument, two count;

• Richard Perry, burglary of a habitation; burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony;

• John Carl Potter, theft, more than $1,500 but less than $20,000;

• Kendall Wendell Price, stalking;

• Mikel Todd Ralson, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon;

• James Cliffton Stewart, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, PG 1, more than four grams but less than 200 grams in a drug free zone, two counts;

• Keri Teague, possession of marijuana, more than four ounces but less than five pounds;

• Erica Kay Valencia, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, two counts;

• Marlon Lajuane Walters, delivery of a controlled substance, PG 1, more than four grams but less than 200 grams in a drug free zone;

• Cortez Williams, possession of marijuana, more than four ounces, but less than five pounds;

• Lawrence Earl Williams, theft, less than $1,500 with two priors;

• Tiffany Dion Williams, hindering apprehension and prosecution of known felon; and,

• Okoyus Woods, possession of marijuana more than four ounces but less than five pounds.
